Legal Counsel - (Legal tech and consumer rights) Hybrid/Barcelona About the role: We are looking for a dynamic and tech-savvy Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Compliance team based in Barcelona. The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on data protection and digital law. In this role, you'll get to: Assist and support in the implementation and maintenance of best-in-class compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to agree content, minimum standards and controls. Provide advice and guidance on the application of policies to the business areas and on the adequate implementation of controls. Provide compliance and conduct advice on queries and projects. Provide hands-on legal expertise on privacy and data protection and commercial laws and regulations. Drafting and reviewing a range of commercial contracts and policy wordings. Required Skills: Native German skills. Excellent oral and written English language skills. Law degree. Minimum of 2 years experience in compliance programmes (with ideally at least one year of compliance experience in GDPR) as an in-house lawyer at a reputable company or law firm. Previous work experience in corporate compliance and data protection. Problem-solving attitude with a strong emphasis on quality. Ability to work in a team as well as independently and deliver on short-term deadlines, demanding schedules and goals. In this role you will be required to actively manage several matters simultaneously, prioritizing as necessary, whilst also responding promptly to day-to-day questions and issues.
