About the Role We’re looking for a Legal Counsel who loves the deal side of the law and wants to be in the middle of the business. This role is about 70% commercial contracting and 30% everything else: compliance, policy, research, and training. You’ll spend most of your time supporting BAMKO, with the remainder supporting SGC corporate, and you’ll work with teams at every level, from sales reps to senior leadership. Our business moves fast and runs more like a tech company than a traditional manufacturer. Sales teams need quick turnarounds, RFPs come with tight deadlines, and priorities can shift in a day. The right person thrives on that pace, stays calm under pressure, and figures things out rather than waiting for answers. What You’ll Do Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, vendor, and confidentiality agreements. Serve as the go-to legal partner for sales, operations, and finance, delivering practical answers on business timelines. Respond to legal and contractual sections of customer RFPs and questionnaires. Maintain and improve contract templates, one-off forms, and standard terms. Conduct legal research, including intellectual property matters, and support compliance initiatives. Apply U.S. and international laws to business operations, with exposure to matters involving Canada, China, India, and Brazil. Manage relationships with outside counsel on assigned matters. Support acquisition and integration activity as the company grows. Help lead the evaluation and rollout of contract management technology. Review and refine company policies and deliver internal legal training. What You Bring J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Active license to practice law, in good standing, in your state of residence. 3+ years of legal experience with a strong focus on commercial contracting; in-house experience strongly preferred. Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills. Working knowledge of, or interest in, employment, compliance, and corporate governance matters. Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive matters. Ability to work collaboratively across time zones; availability during Pacific-time business hours is a plus. Manages a high volume of competing priorities and shifting deadlines with composure. Adapts quickly to changing business needs and makes sound judgment calls under time pressure. Nice to Have Experience in apparel, promotional products, manufacturing, distribution, or healthcare. Experience with contract lifecycle management and document management platforms such as Agiloft or NetDocuments. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000.
