About Deepki

Founded in 2014, Deepki is the most trusted sustainability SaaS solution for sustainability in the Real Estate sector.

Its comprehensive platform enables Real Estate stakeholders to manage risk through data-driven insights, improve the financial performance of their assets, meet growing investor expectations and regulatory requirements. It also supports clients in developing clear action plans for both transition and adaptation, while delivering positive financial outcomes.

We're seeking a Legal Counsel qualified as a Solicitor to join our London office, working with the wider legal team based in Paris. In this role, you will help scale Deepki’s presence in the UK and support the broader business, with a primary focus on SaaS contracting, integration of our recently acquired businesses in the UK and practical regulatory implementation. You will take ownership of key commercial matters and provide practical support across data protection, product compliance, logistics, and operational workflows.

The role offers a good degree of responsibility and you'll be hands-on, directly drafting and negotiating commercial agreements while working within the wider legal team to manage risks pragmatically. This role is ideal for an independently-minded lawyer who is comfortable with fast-scaling environments, makes sound judgments where the issues are not black-and-white, is adept at finding standardisation methods, and proactively drives priorities forward. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in sales, product, delivery and senior leadership to contribute to implementation of legal processes, streamline commercial contracts, and support ongoing regulatory compliance.

Permanent position - based in our London office

  • Key focus on scaling the UK business and finding pragmatic solutions to day-to-day contracting issues

  • Escalate complex or material issues to senior legal team members while independently driving standard commercial matters

  • Monitor the UK regulatory landscape and feed-in to the wider compliance strategy

  • Support implementation of AI and digital strategies for the UK market and identify key legal changes

  • Promote and ensure the conformity of internal teams with our policies and procedures to ensure legal coherence

  • Support senior lawyers with initial dispute assessments and routine legal correspondence

  • Lead the coordination of local external counsel and service providers.

Profile:

  • Min 3 years of post-qualification experience with strong grounding in technology related matters (AI/Data/Internet/SaaS) and commercial law

  • Background in a reputable law firm or an in-house legal department within a fast-moving tech company

  • Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as supporting regulatory compliance initiatives

  • Self-starter capable of leading commercial workstreams independently while partnering seamlessly with the wider team

  • A proactive, execution-oriented mindset that emphasizes clarity and commercial pragmatism

  • Skill in prioritizing and handling a high volume of legal requests in a fast-changing, high-growth setting lacking established playbooks

  • A collaborative approach to working cross-functionally with business stakeholders, non-legal units, and distributed teams

  • Adept at utilizing AI technologies to enhance legal team processes and efficiency

Nice to have:
