Legal Director

Role Description The Legal Director will provide strategic legal guidance to FP&A Professionals - India, overseeing legal risk management and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This part-time, remote role involves reviewing and drafting contracts and agreements, advising on legal issues related to service offerings, and maintaining robust legal documentation and policies. The Legal Director will support decision-making on business initiatives, including collaborations and potential M&A activities, by assessing legal implications and recommending appropriate actions. The role also includes monitoring regulatory changes, guiding the organization on compliance requirements, and working closely with leadership to align legal strategy with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and the ability to interpret and apply legal principles in a business context.
• Demonstrated experience in Legal Compliance, including monitoring regulatory changes and implementing compliance frameworks.
• Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and managing Legal Issues relevant to consulting and professional services.
• Proficiency in Contract Management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client and vendor agreements.
• Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), including legal due diligence and transaction support, is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); advanced legal qualifications or bar membership in India are an advantage.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and prioritize multiple matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Prior experience supporting consulting, professional services, or education-focused organizations is beneficial.
