Overview This internship aims to introduce the interns to the realm of online services and age-related legal, regulatory and compliance issues these services face. These range from games to messaging apps to social media - interns will be introduced to the key issues these businesses face in relation to kids and teens and how these issues are tackled on a global basis. Interns will find themselves having to apply their legal research skills in a manner completely different from their academic journey thus far and will gain insight on how the tech industry operates on a regional and global basis. What You'll Do Regulatory Compliance & Research Research and review of existing age-related and privacy-related laws across 190+ countries (with guidance and feedback), with a focus on presenting your research findings in a pragmatic and concise manner, as well as keeping up with new laws / regulations and how they impact online service providers and their users Commercial Legal Drafting, reviewing and understanding how standard corporate and commercial legal documents work and applying your legal knowledge in the corporate/commercial setting To assist Legal Counsels with doing compliance assessment reports for clients/online service providers Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in a LLB (Bachelor of Laws) or LLM (Master of Laws) at a Singapore University Strong research and analytical skills Interest in technology, privacy law, and digital safety Excellent written and verbal communication Commitment to full-time participation for the program duration Program Benefits Mentorship from Global Experts : Learn directly from k-ID's Chief Legal Officer and legal team Practical Legal Experience : Apply academic knowledge in a commercial tech environment Cross-Functional Exposure : Interact with product, engineering, and compliance teams Legal Research Skill Development : Enhance research capabilities with real-world applications Commercial Translation Skills : Learn to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals Tech Industry Insight : Gain firsthand experience in the growing digital safety and privacy sector Program Details Duration : Min. 12 weeks Location : Hybrid working at our Singapore office How to Apply This is a specialized opportunity for students in the Law program.
