Team Structure
The firm has a Legal Project Manager ("LPM") who supports the firm’s Commercial Litigation team, predominantly the Group Actions and Competition (“GAC”) team. The LPM works alongside legal teams on matters, managing non-legal aspects and implementing/streamlining processes to drive efficiencies, both internally and for the client. The Legal Project Co-ordinator will join the LPM team and provide junior level support in this work, primarily to the GAC team.
Main Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to provide legal project management support on litigation matters, in particular, group actions. Types of tasks will include:
- Task management – Managing workstreams, tasks and deadlines on matters, including chairing team meetings, circulating action points and managing collaborative tasks lists.
- Cost management - Managing complex billing processes, third party costs, and budgets.
- Reporting - Progress reporting to clients/funders/insurers.
- Client management – Implementing and managing client portals and other technological solutions as required.
- Administration of Case Funnel (a mass claim management tool) including implementing and managing processes on Case Funnel.
- Data management – Creating trackers to manage large volumes of data and reporting on the same.
Broader contribution:
The role also includes working with the current LPM in:
- Considering legal project management solutions and strategy.
- Advising on non-matter related processes to support the litigation team and the firm more widely.
- Training our lawyers on legal project management.
- Promoting legal project management across the firm.
- Business development activities, including writing articles and case studies.
- Building strong and trusted relationships within the firm; spanning both legal and business services teams across a range of seniorities.
- Working with and supporting the wider Innovation team.
