Role Overview
At Job Duck, we are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through every stage of case development. In this role, you will analyze records, assist with discovery, coordinate case-related communications, and help keep legal matters organized and moving forward. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, and comfortable handling sensitive conversations with empathy while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST/EDT (USA)
Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Conducting legal research and locating court rules, statutes, and regulations
- Preparing chronologies, summaries, and reports to support case development
- Organizing, reviewing, categorizing, and maintaining document productions
- Conducting investigations related to claims, defenses, and damages
- Communicating with clients, witnesses, and experts to obtain information and documentation
- Drafting discovery requests and assisting with discovery responses
- Managing discovery databases and document collections
- Preparing subpoena packages and supporting documentation
- Monitoring case progress and maintaining litigation plans
- Coordinating with attorneys and legal assistants to ensure efficient workflow and case progress
- Reviewing and analyzing medical, employment, business, construction, and other case-related records

- Long-term commitment and reliability
- Reliable computer setup (laptop/PC, headset, stable internet min. 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload)
