Legal Trainee

Are you a fresh (or soon-to-graduate) lawyer eager to gain experience in promoting energy transition investments? Do you see yourself thriving in a fast-paced, international growth company? Perhaps you already have some experience from M&A/transactions, financing or the energy sector?

We are looking for a Legal Trainee to join our in-house legal team at the Helsinki office for a fixed period as one of our team members is on parental leave, starting as soon as possible and ending between August 15th and 30th, 2027.

In this role you will support Korkia’s legal team in various needs linked to financing, transactions, corporate matters and investment governance related to growing our global investment business. You will report to Korkia’s General Counsel and work closely with our legal team as well as key internal business stakeholders such as fund managers, investment directors and the finance team.

You could be the person we are looking for if:

✔️ You are a qualified or soon-to-graduate lawyer (LLM), ideally with some experience from a top-tier business law firm (most relevant practice groups are energy & infrastructure, finance, corporate law or private M&A)

✔️ You are fluent in communicating in Finnish and English – other languages are a plus but not a requirement.

✔️ Your ambition is to become a versatile lawyer – you are eager to learn, proactive in your way of working and ready to take responsibility of any legal need the company may have.

✔️ You are passionate to work in a fast-paced, multinational business environment; we are looking for someone who gets energized by speed and doesn’t freeze when facing something new or challenging.
