Level 2 Support Engineer for SAP Ariba

About the role:

As part of our long-term partnership with SAP Ariba, we are looking for a Support Engineer to help customers get the most out of SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing (P2X). You will work with customers and with SAP Ariba's global teams to understand business processes, troubleshoot application and integration issues, and keep customers satisfied and successful with the solution.

You will be the person customers trust when something is critical. You will analyze the issue, find the cause, propose a solution, and make sure it is resolved.

What you will do:

• Work closely with Customer Success Partners to drive customer engagement and satisfaction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support solution adoption
• Resolve and manage P2 tickets, Feature Activation and Enhancement requests, track progress, and plan future de-escalation by recommending suitable services from the Preferred Success portfolio
• Understand each customer's architecture, processes, configuration, landscape and pain points, and guide internal teams where needed
• Analyze reported technical and functional issues, triage requests, and develop solutions for the deployment and ongoing support of SAP Ariba cloud solutions
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues to deliver an excellent customer experience
• Collaborate with global internal teams and SAP Ariba professionals on complex, cross-component platform issues
• Provide expert support on current project difficulties and major product issues or gaps
• Build expertise in new features and functionality, and support customers in testing cycles

What we are looking for:

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with an object-oriented language (Java, C# or C++)
• Knowledge of HTTP, HTML and XML
• Experience or good understanding of SAP Ariba solutions, especially Buying & Invoicing (P2X)
• Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency and reliable follow-through
• Good consulting and communication skills in English (written and spoken) and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to build trust, manage expectations, set healthy boundaries and de-escalate critical situations
• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Sciences (computer, natural, technical), or equivalent work experience

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the wider Ariba portfolio: Sourcing, Contracts, SLP, SAP Business Network (Ariba Network), Cloud Integration Gateway
• Basic understanding of web and network security standards (SSL, SSO, HTTPS, certificates)
• Current certification in an SAP Ariba solution (Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts, SLP, Cloud Integration Gateway, etc.)
