Licensed Health Insurance Agent | ICHRA/ACA

Location: Fully Remote: Salt Lake City, UT / Hybrid
Department: ICHRA/ACA Operations
Reports To: ICHRA/ACA Team Leads

Position Summary

Enroll365 is seeking licensed Health & Life Insurance Producers to join our growing individual benefits team.

This role is designed for licensed insurance professionals who enjoy working directly with people, understanding their individual circumstances, explaining coverage options clearly, and helping clients confidently select and enroll in coverage that fits their needs.

Our producers work across a growing portfolio of individual health and supplemental benefit solutions. The role includes helping individuals and families navigate ICHRA/ACA individual health insurance options, supporting ICHRA-related employee enrollments, identifying appropriate ancillary coverage when applicable, and maintaining strong client relationships beyond the initial enrollment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a producer who wants to spend their time working with clients, advising them on coverage, and writing business within an established agency environment rather than operating completely independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation & Sales

  • Work directly with individuals and families to understand healthcare coverage needs, budget considerations, and eligibility.

  • Educate clients on available health insurance options and explain differences in premiums, deductibles, networks, benefits, and other plan features.

  • Recommend appropriate coverage based on the client's needs and available options.

  • Assist clients through quoting, plan selection, application, and enrollment.

  • Identify appropriate ancillary or supplemental coverage opportunities based on the client's needs.

  • Conduct professional phone, virtual, and electronic client consultations.

  • ACA & Individual Health Enrollment

  • Assist consumers with Individual and Family Plan enrollment, including ACA Marketplace coverage when properly certified and authorized.

  • Help clients understand enrollment periods, qualifying life events, requested documentation, and effective dates.

  • Accurately complete applications and required documentation.

  • Follow established procedures for carrier and Marketplace enrollment.

  • Maintain required annual Marketplace and carrier certifications applicable to assigned markets.

  • ICHRA Employee Enrollment

  • Work with employees of Enroll365 ICHRA clients to help them evaluate and select individual health insurance coverage.

  • Explain plan options in clear, practical language so employees can make informed coverage decisions.

  • Coordinate with the Enroll365 service and operations teams when an enrollment requires additional documentation, carrier follow-up, payment assistance, or issue resolution.

  • Client Relationship & Retention

  • Develop trusted relationships with clients through responsive, professional service.

  • Follow up on incomplete applications and outstanding enrollment requirements.

  • Maintain accurate client records, notes, and enrollment information in company systems.

  • Support existing policyholders with coverage questions and route service issues to the appropriate operational resource.

  • Participate in renewal and retention efforts.

  • Sales & Performance

  • Manage assigned opportunities and follow-up activity consistently.

  • Maintain accurate opportunity and client information in Salesforce and other company systems.

  • Work toward individual and team production goals.

  • Participate in product training, carrier training, sales coaching, and ongoing professional development.

  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, compliance, responsiveness, and client experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Health & Life insurance producer license in good standing.

  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.

  • Ability to explain complicated insurance concepts in simple, understandable terms.

  • Comfortable speaking with clients by phone and through virtual meetings.

  • Strong organization and follow-through.

  • Comfortable working with multiple technology platforms, carrier portals, quoting systems, and CRM tools.

  • Ability to work independently while also operating within established agency processes.

  • Strong attention to documentation, accuracy, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly during Open Enrollment.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous health insurance or employee-benefits sales experience.

  • ACA Individual & Family Plan experience.

  • Experience with Marketplace enrollments.

  • ICHRA experience.

  • Experience selling ancillary or supplemental health products.

  • Current FFM certification and/or State-Based Marketplace certifications.

  • Existing non-resident Health & Life licenses in multiple states.

  • Experience working with multiple insurance carriers.

  • Salesforce experience.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Licensed Health & Life Producer at Enroll365:

  • Creates a professional and consultative client experience.

  • Helps clients understand their options rather than simply pushing a product.

  • Converts qualified opportunities into completed enrollments.

  • Completes applications accurately and with appropriate documentation.

  • Keeps follow-up work moving and does not allow opportunities to stall.

  • Maintains required licenses, appointments, and certifications.

  • Keeps Salesforce and other client records accurate and current.

  • Builds long-term client relationships that support retention and referrals.

  • Works effectively with Enroll365 operations and service teams to resolve enrollment issues.

Why Join Enroll365

Enroll365 is building a technology-enabled benefits organization focused on helping employers, employees, individuals, and families navigate an increasingly complicated health insurance market.

Rather than putting every administrative responsibility on the producer, our model includes dedicated operational resources supporting enrollment processing, payments, documentation, carrier follow-up, licensing, and client service.
