Join CTSA as a part-time licensed therapist and maintain the flexibility and autonomy of private practice with the referrals, infrastructure, training, and professional community of an established group practice.
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LCSW-C, LMFT) – Part-Time
The Center for Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety (CTSA) is seeking experienced, independently licensed mental health therapists to join our Maryland group practice on a part-time basis. This position is designed for clinicians who want to maintain a meaningful clinical practice with flexibility and autonomy, without having to manage everything that comes with running a private practice.
You focus on your clients. We run the practice!
Compensation & Schedule:
- $50–$60 per completed clinical hour, based on experience and CTSA compensation tier
- W-2 employment
- Minimum of 15 completed clinical hours per week
- Opportunity to build a caseload of approximately 15–24 sessions per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Hybrid in-person and telehealth work
- Opportunities to transition into full-time employment as your caseload or professional goals evolve
What CTSA Provides:
We want clinicians spending their time practicing. Not chasing claims, finding referrals, or managing the administrative work of a private practice.
CTSA provides:
- Consistent referrals and intake support
- Credentialing
- Billing and collections
- Marketing and practice development
- EHR and technology infrastructure
- Administrative and operational support
- Furnished professional office space
- Ongoing clinical consultation and professional development
- In-house clinical training provided at no cost, including continuing education (CE) opportunities
- Opportunities for advanced clinical training and specialty development
- Career pathways into senior clinician, clinical supervision, and leadership roles for clinicians interested in growing beyond direct clinical practice
Who We're Looking For:
We're looking for experienced clinicians who are clinically strong, dependable, thoughtful, and invested in continuing to develop their craft.
Candidates must:
- Hold an active, unrestricted independent Maryland clinical license as an LCPC, LCSW-C, LMFT, or other qualifying independently licensed behavioral health professional
- Be able to maintain at least 15 completed clinical sessions per week
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, documentation, and ethical practice
- Be comfortable practicing independently while collaborating within a clinical team
- Be willing to provide a combination of in-person and telehealth services
- Participate in CTSA's required in-house clinical training and professional development
- Value continued learning, accountability, and high-quality clinical care
- Be willing to submit to a background check
Experience or advanced training in trauma, PTSD, anxiety disorders, EMDR, somatic therapy, attachment, OCD, couples and family therapy, neurodivergence, integrative mental health, or related specialty areas is especially valued.
Already Have a Practice or Caseload?
We welcome conversations with established clinicians who may already have a private practice or existing caseload and are interested in transitioning some or all of their clinical work into a supported group-practice environment.
Any transition must respect client choice, existing professional obligations, and applicable ethical requirements.
Why CTSA?
Part-time clinical work shouldn't require you to build an entire business around it. At CTSA, you maintain meaningful autonomy over your schedule, clinical interests, and the caseload you build while being part of an established clinical community with the infrastructure to support your work.
And if your goals change, there is room to grow. Clinicians may increase their caseload into CTSA's full-time tier, deepen a clinical specialty, pursue advanced training, or move toward senior clinician and clinical supervision opportunities over time.
If you're looking for the flexibility of private practice with the support and professional community of an established group practice, we'd like to hear from you.
