Role Description The Licensed Salesperson is a full-time hybrid role based in Lagos, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home responsibilities. This role focuses on identifying prospective clients, explaining insurance products, and recommending suitable coverage options across Heirs General, Heirs Life, and Heirs Insurance Brokers. Day-to-day tasks include managing a sales pipeline, conducting client meetings, preparing quotations, processing applications, and following up on renewals. The Licensed Salesperson will maintain accurate records in CRM tools, meet sales and retention targets, and collaborate with underwriting, claims, and customer service teams to ensure a positive client experience. The role also involves staying informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and company offerings to provide up-to-date guidance to clients.
Qualifications

  • Proven sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust, handle objections, and close deals in a competitive market.
  • Strong client relationship management and communication skills, including clear presentation of complex insurance concepts in accessible terms.
  • Basic financial literacy and product knowledge across life, general, and brokerage insurance solutions, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems, including managing leads, tracking activities, and generating reports.
  • Relevant insurance license or certification in Nigeria, or eligibility and commitment to obtain required licensing within a defined timeframe.
  • Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or consultative sales is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and meet performance targets with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
