Licensing & Credentialing Specialist

Location: Torres Moradas, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — Mondays working from home and Tuesdays through Fridays working on-site at our Monterrey office.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Licensing & Credentialing Specialist to join our team in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Important: This is a hybrid position. Candidates must currently reside in the Monterrey metropolitan area, as on-site attendance is required Tuesday through Friday at our offices located on the 5th floor of Torres Moradas.

Position Summary

The Licensing & Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining provider licensure, certifications, and credentialing requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and uninterrupted operational and billing workflows.

This role supports the Operations and Revenue Cycle departments by coordinating provider enrollment, maintaining accurate credentialing records, and ensuring that all clinicians and healthcare professionals meet applicable federal, state, and payer-specific requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage provider licensure, credentialing, and re-credentialing processes.

  • Ensure all clinicians and healthcare professionals maintain active licenses, certifications, and credentials.

  • Complete and submit payer enrollment and revalidation applications.

  • Track and monitor license renewals, credential expirations, and compliance deadlines.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider credentialing files and documentation.

  • Communicate with providers, payers, and regulatory agencies regarding credentialing status and requirements.

  • Identify and resolve credentialing discrepancies, application issues, and enrollment delays.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and payer-specific credentialing requirements.

  • Support billing and revenue cycle teams by ensuring providers are properly credentialed and enrolled with applicable payers.

  • Prepare licensing, credentialing, and enrollment reports as requested.

  • Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of provider information and organizational data.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in licensing, credentialing, or provider enrollment.

  • Healthcare credentialing experience strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of payer enrollment processes and healthcare compliance requirements preferred.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) — NAMSS.

  • Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) — NAMSS.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.

  • Proficiency in credentialing software, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and Microsoft Office.

  • Familiarity with state licensing boards and payer enrollment portals.

  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Work Schedule & Location

  • Monday: Work from home.

  • Tuesday through Friday: Work on-site at our offices on the 5th floor of Torres Moradas, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

  • Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in Monterrey or the surrounding metropolitan area and be able to commute to the office four days per week.
