Join a fast-moving, collaborative team at Modern.tech as our next Lifecycle & Content Marketing Strategist. This is a full-time, remote role focused primarily on SourceRE, our real estate technology subsidiary, and our newly launched MCP (Model Context Protocol), which connects agents and brokers with MLS data in their preferred AI tools.
Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you'll turn campaign direction into email programs that help agents discover MCP, start using it, and see the value of upgrading. You'll write the content, build the HubSpot workflows, inform the creative, and use performance data to recommend what we should try next.
While email is the primary focus of this role, you'll also contribute ideas for promotions and feature launches, develop supporting content, and work directly with MLS partners to coordinate communications to their members. You'll have room to shape the work while collaborating closely with marketing leadership on strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, run, and improve lifecycle email campaigns in HubSpot, from prospecting and onboarding to ongoing engagement, upgrades, and reactivation.
- Own day-to-day HubSpot marketing operations, including workflows, audience segmentation, contact data, send schedules, and email quality assurance.
- Use product usage and engagement data to build behavioral triggers and personalized journeys that encourage agent signups, regular MCP usage, and upgrades from base to premium tiers.
- Develop lead scoring in partnership with Sales so the sales team can identify and follow up with engaged prospects.
- Write and edit campaign emails and monthly product updates for agents, brokers, and MLS partners. Translate product details into clear reasons to try a feature or take the next step.
- Manage MLS marketing relationships and secure approval of member prospecting workflows, copy, and creative before launch. Coordinate partner-specific changes and involve leadership in sensitive decisions or exceptions.
- Prepare email templates, assets, and distribution guidance for approved campaigns that MLS partners may send themselves.
- Monitor deliverability, maintain clean lists and subscription preferences, and check audience selection, branding, personalization, links, and workflow logic before campaigns go live.
- Build funnel reporting and dashboards that connect campaign activity to signups, upgrades, and product usage. Test messaging, timing, cadence, and triggers, then recommend changes based on results.
- Work with the Head of Marketing to plan promotions and feature launch campaigns for current users and prospective users. Create supporting landing pages and sales materials, and drive attendance at webinars through email.
- Brief graphic and multimedia designers, review their work, and give feedback tied to the audience, message, and campaign goal.
- Manage campaign calendars, approvals, dependencies, and deadlines in Asana. Work closely with Product, Sales, and leadership, including on HubSpot integrations and CRM improvements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of marketing experience in a content-driven, multi-channel role preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience building and improving lifecycle or email marketing programs, with results you can explain across acquisition, activation, engagement, or expansion.
- Strong hands-on HubSpot expertise, including complex workflows, segmentation, lead scoring, reporting, and troubleshooting. You're comfortable building and testing campaigns yourself.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with excellent communication, writing, and editing skills, especially for email. You can turn a complex product into a message that is clear, useful, and persuasive.
- Sound editorial judgment when using AI. You can challenge its suggestions, check accuracy, and revise the copy until it fits the audience and brand.
- A strong understanding of email structure, testing, deliverability, list hygiene, and subscription management, with close attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills and experience coordinating multiple campaigns and stakeholders. Asana experience is useful; experience with a comparable tool is welcome.
- Confidence communicating with customers and senior executives, managing feedback, and making recommendations. You know when a sensitive issue needs leadership's input.
- An eye for design and experience briefing creative teams, with the ability to explain how your feedback supports the campaign's goals.
- Experience in SaaS or technology marketing preferred. Familiarity with the U.S. real estate industry, MLSs, and agent or broker audiences is especially valuable, as is experience supporting PR or sensitive partner communications.
Job Type: Full-time, Remote
