Show job description

Marek Health is built around a simple vision: help people reach a level of health and performance they did not think was possible. Our expert clinical team creates a clear path to higher energy, stronger bodies, sharper minds, and a longer, fuller life. We do this through personalized, clinician-guided care grounded in advanced diagnostics and evidence-based treatments, including hormone optimization, peptides, nutrition, and lifestyle support. Our goal is to become the partner that guides people to the healthiest, most capable version of themselves.

We are hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own email and SMS end-to-end across all three Marek brands: Marek Health, Marek Diagnostics, and Marek Supplements. This covers every email and text we send: lifecycle and automated flows, lead nurture, campaigns and promotions, client and care communications, and newsletters. Email and SMS are the channels we control outright, and they are one of our biggest levers for intakes, revenue, and retention. This role sets the strategy and does the build, and is directly accountable for what the program drives. It reports to the Growth and Operations Manager and works closely with the tech, sales, product, and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lifecycle Strategy and the Client Journey

  • Own, manage, and scale the email and SMS program across all three brands: strategy, calendar, and cadence.
  • Map the entire client lifecycle and hold the source of truth for every automated touchpoint: what triggers it, who receives it, what it says, and how it looks.
  • Own stage-to-stage conversion after intake: intake to labs, labs to provider exam, exam to treatment plan, and first refill. Set baselines for each stage and show the lift email and SMS drive.
  • Work in parallel with the tech and sales teams to rebuild and maintain the journey, define what lifecycle needs, and see it through.
  • Focus heavily on client retention and reactivation.
  • Drive adoption of the new Account Management portal. Use email and SMS to notify clients of status changes and incentivize the actions we want them to take, and partner with product to see which features clients use and scale adoption.

All Email and SMS, Across All Brands

  • Run every type of send: lifecycle and automated flows, campaigns and promotions, client and care communications, and newsletters.
  • Build lead nurture and mid-funnel journeys that move prospects from first touch through the questionnaire, discovery call, and intake.
  • Build and run onboarding, evergreen sends to inactives, abandonment, win-backs, and retention journeys.
  • Ship campaign and promotional sends on time, and modify flows for sales and promotions as they come up, without being asked.

Data, Build, and Deliverability

  • Define and maintain the event and attribute spec that lifecycle depends on, covering the clinical system, payments, scheduling, and both Shopify stores. QA new events with tech before they go live.
  • Own segments and the data behind them, and verify in QA before a send goes out.
  • Write the copy, build and QA responsive emails that render across clients, and hold the final call on quality. Design supports the build.
  • Own inboxing for email: warming, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, list hygiene, suppression, and the Gmail and Yahoo bulk-sender rules. Own SMS compliance and delivery: 10DLC registration, opt-in and opt-out handling, and quiet hours.

Compliance and Patient Privacy

  • Keep every send compliant with HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, and TCPA, and make sure protected health information is only used where it is allowed and never exposed in marketing.
  • Work with the clinical team on care communications and health claims so messaging stays accurate and within regulatory guidelines.

Testing, Optimization, and Reporting

  • Run a standing testing program and optimize flows continuously. Test hooks, offers, timing, channel, and structure to drive conversion.
  • Own the funnel from first touch to refill, package performance with clear takeaways, and report up.
  • Use AI to move faster on build, personalization, testing, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years running lifecycle, email, SMS, or CRM marketing, including owning strategy for a program, not just executing it.
  • Experience in a service-based or subscription business where the customer relationship is ongoing, not purely transactional e-commerce. Health, wellness, telehealth, SaaS, or membership all fit.
  • You have run an email and SMS platform end to end. Customer.io preferred; Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, Attentive, Postscript, or similar transfers.
  • You build multi-step automated flows with triggers, segmentation, and decision logic across channels, not just one-off sends.
  • Strong grasp of deliverability: authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), warming, inbox placement, list hygiene, and SMS registration and consent.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and how PHI should and should not move through marketing tools, plus CAN-SPAM and TCPA.
  • Fluent in HTML and email templating (Liquid or similar), responsive and cross-client.
  • You handle segmentation and the data behind it, and can write an event spec a technical team can build from.
  • You map systems and document them. You can walk into something undocumented and make it organized and maintainable.
  • You run A/B tests properly and read the results.
  • Strong copywriter with a sharp analytical mindset. You live in the data and turn it into decisions.
  • You run independently: you own your area, drive it without being managed task to task, and carry several workstreams across three brands at once.
  • Health, wellness, supplements, or longevity industry experience preferred.

Role Expectations

  • Full-time.
  • Remote role.
  • Ability to work effectively across PST to EST time zones.
  • Reports to the Growth and Operations Manager, working in close partnership with the tech, sales, product, and clinical teams.

Compensation

  • Base compensation: $85,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Paid time off (PTO).
  • 401(k): employer-contributed.
  • Health insurance: employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision.
