Lighting Designer + Estimator (Remote)

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Lighting Designer + Estimator(Remote). The role involves designing functional and aesthetic lighting solutions for residential, commercial, and architectural projects, aligning concepts with client requirements and brand standards. The Lighting Designer + Estimator will prepare lighting layouts, specifications, and technical documentation, as well as develop cost estimates, bills of quantities, and proposals based on project scope. Daily tasks include collaborating with internal teams and clients, reviewing plans and drawings, selecting fixtures and controls, and ensuring designs comply with safety, energy, and regulatory guidelines. The role also requires managing multiple projects, updating estimates as designs evolve, and supporting project execution with clear, accurate design and cost information.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting, with the ability to create functional, aesthetic, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Experience with Lighting Control systems and Lighting technology, including fixture selection and integration with design concepts.
• Understanding of Interior Design principles and their application to lighting and architectural finishes.
• Proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Relux, or similar), and comfort interpreting architectural drawings.
• Demonstrated experience in estimating, budgeting, or quantity take-offs for lighting and interior projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work remotely and manage deadlines across multiple projects.
• Relevant education in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in lighting or controls are a plus.
