Litigation Associate

DTO Law (dtolaw.com) is a sophisticated boutique law firm with offices in Los Angeles , Silicon Valley and New York . We are looking for a highly motivated litigation associate to join our growing team . Job Summary: DTO Law is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate to join our diverse civil practice with a focus on class action defense, complex commercial litigation, and intellectual property litigation. We are looking for candidates with at least 2-5 years of experience litigating , preferably in both federal and California state courts. Excellent written and communication skills and academic credentials from a top-tier law school. A federal clerkship is a plus . As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-stakes litigation matters, including cases involving highly complex legal issues . This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The Junior /Mid-Level Attorney may have to perform other duties as assigned. Primary Responsibilities : Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies. Participat e in all stages of discovery, including document productions , depositions, and exper t witness preparation. Draft legal pleadings, briefs and other required documents. Attend hearings, mediations and other legal proceedings . Com m unicat e with clients, opposing counsel and experts. Minimum Qualifications : JD from a top law school Excellent academic credentials Admitted to practice in California or New York, but strong preference for California-barred attorney 2-5 years of litigation experience Motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with enthusiasm for developing clients and growing a legal practice Excellent communication, writing and research skills Team player with a “can do” attitude 1750 Hour Billable Requirement Competitive pay and benefits Salary and Benefits: We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and offer an excellent salary and benefits package . Lockstep salary range based on class year is $ 170,000 – $272,000 for 1750 hours ( associates who bill 1825 or 1900 receive additional guaranteed compensation ) . Benefits start the first day of the month following start date, including 401K enrollment .
