Litigation Associate

About the Role

A New York defense litigation law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to manage a general defense caseload, primarily involving premises liability matters. You will work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation while building a long-term practice in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage defense litigation matters from case inception through resolution.

• Conduct and defend depositions.

• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communication.

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.

What We're Looking For

• Two to seven years of general defense litigation experience.

• Familiarity with New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions.

• Experience conducting and defending depositions.

• Ability to manage a caseload, appear in court, and navigate core litigation procedures.

• Interest in growing with a team over the long term.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
