Litigation Associate

About the Role

Join an established New York litigation law firm as a Litigation Associate handling a full caseload of defense matters. You will work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, client communication, and trial preparation in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage general defense litigation matters, primarily premises liability, from inception through resolution.

• Conduct and defend depositions, and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.

• Appear in court and represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences.

• Collaborate with senior partners on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communication.

What We're Looking For

• Two to seven years of law firm defense litigation experience, including management of a full caseload.

• Experience with premises liability or general negligence matters and conducting and defending depositions.

• Familiarity with New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions, and experience appearing before judges and attending conferences.

• A J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar.

• Strong legal writing skills, including drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery.

• A collaborative approach and interest in long-term professional growth in a mentorship-focused setting.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid role based in New York City, New York. Daily in-office attendance at the Long Island office is expected during onboarding, with flexible hybrid work afterward.
