About the Role

Civica Law Group is looking for a Paralegal on our Civil Litigation side to join our team.

This role will work our Civil Litigation team, supporting public-agency clients. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and gain exposure to a variety of issues involving public safety, code enforcement, and local government.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with litigation attorneys to manage and support assigned cases
• Calendar and monitor case deadlines, hearings, filings, and other important dates
• Assist with preparing pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents
• Organize and summarize case documents, discovery, and relevant records
• Conduct legal and factual research and assist attorneys with case preparation
• Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, vendors, and other parties as needed
• Coordinate with court reporters, experts, and other outside professionals when needed
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and track case activity

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of civil litigation and tort defense experience
• Candidate must have their paralegal certificate or degree in applicable paralegal studies
• Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and roles at a given time
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Someone who is adaptable and possesses solid organizational, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and sound judgment
• Interest in local government, public safety, or code enforcement

Compensation: $65,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
