LLM Trainer | Remote

Hirely is recruiting on behalf of one of our hiring partners for a remote LLM Trainer - AI Function Call opportunity.

This project supports the development of next-generation Large Language Models (LLMs) by creating and evaluating high-quality conversational datasets. Selected professionals will work on realistic AI assistant interactions, function-calling workflows, prompt engineering, and model evaluation while following detailed quality guidelines. This is a remote contractor opportunity for professionals with strong technical reasoning, programming knowledge, and excellent written English.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include one or more of the following:

• Design realistic multi-turn conversations between users and AI assistants.
• Create high-quality examples involving AI agents, function calling, tool usage, and structured reasoning.
• Evaluate and improve AI-generated conversations for quality, accuracy, consistency, and logical reasoning.
• Simulate assistant interactions using APIs, JSON structures, and function-calling workflows.
• Write prompts and responses that demonstrate natural language understanding and real-world problem solving.
• Follow detailed project guidelines while maintaining high quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with reviewers and quality teams to improve AI training datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience in software engineering, computer science, AI, machine learning, data annotation, technical writing, or related technical fields.
• Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar programming languages, combined with strong technical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of APIs, JSON, structured data, and software development concepts.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, AI agents, or function calling is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
