Load and Performance Architect

We are looking for an experienced Load and Performance Architect / GenAI SME – Performance Testing & Engineering based in Barcelona, Spain, with strong expertise in Performance Testing, Performance Engineering, GenAI, LLMs, and AI-driven automation.

The role will involve leading performance testing and engineering initiatives, identifying opportunities to leverage Generative AI for automation and optimization, and designing scalable AI-powered solutions to improve testing efficiency and application performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end Performance Testing and Engineering activities across complex enterprise applications.
• Assess existing performance testing processes and identify opportunities for optimization using GenAI and automation.
• Design and implement GenAI-powered solutions, AI Agents, and LLM-based automation for performance testing, analysis, and reporting.
• Define performance testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Architect scalable GenAI solutions and integrate them with existing engineering workflows.
• Conduct performance monitoring, bottleneck analysis, troubleshooting, and application optimization.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure performance requirements are met.
• Provide technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and guidance to engineering teams.
• Drive continuous improvement through Shift Left/Right testing approaches and automation.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of overall experience, with strong expertise in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in performance testing across web, mobile, cloud, and enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, load testing, stress testing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with APM and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, New Relic, or similar.
• Understanding of application architectures, JVM/CLR tuning, database performance, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience with GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, and AI-driven automation.
• Ability to design and integrate AI Agents and LLM-based solutions into performance engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, solution architecture, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership capabilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in Test Management and leading large-scale Non-Functional Testing (NFT) engagements.
• Knowledge of Python, Streamlit, and LLM API integrations.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, SQL queries, and AWR analysis.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing automated scripts for performance log analysis and reporting.
• Certifications in Performance Engineering, Cloud, or AI/ML.
• Spanish language proficiency.
