Loan Operations Senior Associate

G MASS is seeking a highly motivated Senior Loans Operations Specialist to join one of our Investment Banking clients as they continue to grow their loans business in Singapore. You will play a pivotal role in supporting portfolio operations and life cycle management across a complex loans book, with trade support extending across cash bonds, equities, derivatives and credit insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end life cycle events and controls to ensure loans transactions are processed timely and accurately
• Validate deal documentation and ensure correct system/product set-up to capture risks correctly
• Provide trade support for other products traded by the Loans desk, including vanilla cash bonds and equities, vanilla derivative products, and credit insurance
• Maintain strong operational controls to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and audit standards
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of front to back trade flows as well as Risk and P&L
• Assess new product initiatives and ensure operational readiness with appropriate controls in place
• Act as operational contact for Front Office and regional stakeholders across legal, compliance, Finance and other operational teams
• Drive engagement with stakeholders to plan and deliver new deal origination, new product launches and complex transaction planning
• Handle escalations, resolve issues within agreed timelines and ensure smooth coordination across functions
• Liaise with external parties including trade counterparties, agents, banks and intermediaries to ensure timely trade execution and settlement
• Drive automation and digitalisation initiatives to improve productivity and enhance controls
• Implement best practices and utilise data to drive reviews and facilitate decision making

• 5+ years' experience supporting loan products
• Working knowledge of trade documentation for private credit business (LMA/APLMA)
• Experience across syndicated loans, bilateral lending, agency servicing and loans products
• Prior experience with Loan IQ
• High attention to detail, strong numerical skills and sound operational risk management
• Proven capability managing complex transactions and resolving exceptions
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate strong ownership and commitment to delivery

Length: Initial 6-month contract
