Localization Support Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Localization Specialist to join our technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and early-career professionals with a technical background and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Macros (VBA).

The selected candidate will receive hands-on training in localization engineering, file preparation, troubleshooting, and technical support while collaborating with project managers, translators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely technical support to project managers, translators, vendors, and clients through email and calls.

• Analyze incoming project files to assess technical requirements, complexity, and effort needed for accurate project quotations.

• Prepare software files, web applications, and structured content for processing using translation and localization tools.

• Extract, clean, format, and organize source content using VBA macros and basic automation scripts.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to file formats, broken tags, encoding, and formatting.

• Conduct technical quality checks on localized files to ensure accuracy, functionality, and consistency.

• Manage and maintain translation assets and technical project files.

• Develop clear technical instructions, troubleshooting guides, and documentation to support translators and project teams.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and improve technical efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Experience: 0–1 year of relevant experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• Mandatory: Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office Macros (VBA), including the ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot macros.

• Basic understanding of structured file formats such as HTML, XML, and JSON.

• Familiarity with basic programming concepts and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is a plus.

• General knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) is an advantage.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.

• Good organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
