Summary:

This role is for that of a highly autonomous professional with computer science or “low code” programming experience. Responsible for managing and configuring software content within the boundaries of a proprietary database. Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to ensure that changes to software content meet industry standards and reflect internal best practices. Plans workload under minimal direction to complete assigned projects. This role operates on a hybrid work model based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manages and configures software content within the boundaries of a proprietary database built by the Software Development team, including creating text, designing interrogation sequences and instruction workflows, and ensuring appropriate outcomes.
  • Analyzes Subject Matter Experts’ requested software content changes and proposes alternate solutions when the requested changes are ambiguous, incompatible with the current database’s architecture, do not align with similar content in other disciplines, or do not reflect internal best practices.
  • Tracks workload and documents Subject Matter Experts’ decisions/changes/discussions within a ticketing system.
  • Researches and analyzes previous change requests to determine the cause of reported bugs or unexpected behavior/outcomes and proposes solutions or provides explanations for behavior if working as designed.
  • Tests and troubleshoots her/his own configuration work and participates in an internal team QA process for complex change requests.
  • Tests new/existing software features and reports bugs to the Software Development and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of system changes, including writing acceptance criteria for the QA team and release notes for clients.
  • Communicates with Subject Matter Experts, Software Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, and other employees at a professional level, both written and verbal, including the ability to prepare routine correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Frequent computer use and concentrating for long periods of time
  • Occasional travel of less than 5% may be required
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualification/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Required: An Associate’s degree in computer science (or related degree), a coding bootcamp certification, or equivalent education and experience
  • Preferred: 1 year of “low code” programming experience

Essential Job Functions/Physical Requirements:

  • Configures software content within internal systems.
  • Tests, troubleshoots, and maintains accurate documentation of system information.
  • This is a typical office job which requires the ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk with occasionally moving, standing, and walking.
  • Requires use of arms, hands, or fingers, in handling or manipulating objects, or operating equipment, tools and/or instruments requiring fine eye-hand coordination.
  • Occasionally requires repeated bending, crouching, stretching, or crawling, along with regularly lifting 10 – 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Work environment is composed of moderate noise (examples: business office with computer and printers, light traffic).
