Logistics Intern

Freight, fees and cost improvement

• Support DC Freight Bracket Requests, where distributors are requesting fuel price relief for backhaul activity.
• Work with Logistics team to streamline the fee and fuel process, including incorporating budgeting into that work.
• Analyze and report non-contracted spend

Produce analytics and operational improvement

• Take on focused produce projects involving freight, data reporting and compliance, and summarize findings, bringing a fresh perspective to potential improvements.
• Support analysis and reporting that can help us identify opportunities and make our produce processes more scalable.

Process documentation and cross-functional projects

• Assist with the existing COE process reviews where Logistics is the process owner—review the current process with the team and document changes.
• Participate in the creation and documentation of new processes that involve Logistics.
• Work alongside Contract Administrator on the Distribution Agreements improvement project planned for next year.
• Help coordinate Driver of the Quarter activities.

Strategic research and future-state logistics

• Complete a supply chain research project focused on different approaches to freight, helping us develop ideas and prepare for writing Project Business Requirements in the back half of the year.
• Bring an outside perspective to the way we approach freight and identify ideas we may want to explore further.
