About Kelluu

We are turning the real world into a digital one, with accuracy down to the smallest detail. Imagine a near future where everything you see can be explored through data delivered by Kelluu, and where AI works continuously across that data to find what you need to know. Everything turned into answers.

We're a Finnish deep-tech company, headquartered in Joensuu with offices in Helsinki, Tampere and Ottawa, Canada. The team is growing fast, the goals are ambitious, and we're hiring people who want to build something that matters.

Our technology is flight-proven and operational. We're a NATO DIANA Phase 2 alumni with several thousands of hours of autonomous BVLOS flight experience, active programmes across multiple NATO nations, and a rapidly growing team. We operate in both defence and commercial markets: the same technology that supports border security also monitors critical infrastructure and the environment.

Why this role exists

Kelluu flies more often and in more places every year, and we're building a new airship factory. Today the logistics behind a deployment — ordering hydrogen, moving containers, keeping the right kit in stock — is split between people whose actual job is something else. You'll be the person it belongs to: the logistics of every deployment from plan to close-out, the standard kit our crews take with them, and the way we pack and secure an airship for transport.

What you'll own

You own the logistics of each deployment as a whole, not a list of errands.

For every deployment:

  • Transport for containers and airships — carrier, route and timing, and a record of what it cost

  • Hydrogen supply — ordering, tracking rented cylinders on site, and getting them returned when we leave

  • The tools and spare parts that go with the crew, delivered where they're needed

  • A logistics cost estimate before we decide to go

Between deployments:

  • The standard deployment kit, stock levels and replenishment, so we stop noticing gaps on site

  • Written standards for packing containers and securing an airship for transport — you'll pack with the crew first, then write it down

  • Tracking and simple automation for rentals, stock and shipment costs, so the work runs on data rather than memory

  • Input to supplier selection, customs paperwork and the factory's internal logistics, alongside your manager

The impact you'll have

  • You'll make sure a deployment is never held up by something that should have been on a truck a week ago.

  • You'll bring the cost of a deployment down as we fly more, by choosing well instead of choosing fast.

  • You'll lay the foundations of Kelluu's supply chain — the standards and the data a growing operation will run on.

Your team

You'll work day to day with the operations crew — mission commanders, pilots and engineers — who are your first customers every time we fly, in Finland or abroad. You report to the Head of Operations, who gives you an outcome rather than a task list and expects you to ask when you're unsure. Externally you'll deal with hydrogen and transport suppliers, forwarders and customs.

What success looks like

By 3 months, you will have:

  • Gotten to know your team, our operations and started creating a repeatable process for our logistics

  • Run the logistics for every deployment in the period without a delay caused by missing hydrogen, transport or kit

  • Packed containers with the crew and seen first-hand what goes wrong

By 6 months:

  • Defined the standard deployment kit and a routine for keeping it stocked

  • Written the standards for packing and securing an airship and ops containers for transport

  • Compared alternative suppliers

By 12 months:

  • Brought cost per deployment below the baseline you built

  • Become the person the whole company asks about logistics

What we're looking for

You'll thrive here if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in logistics engineering or a related field — the role needs someone who thinks in systems, not just in shipments

  • Experience planning and executing transport — and the judgment to choose and own a solution, not just book the first one available

  • The habit of digging out the information you need and asking for it firmly — plans here change, visibility is short, and nobody will hand you a complete brief

  • A plan B when the information isn't there — you keep the deployment moving and tell us what you're missing

  • The ability to work with everyone — engineers, pilots, ops, production, customs and suppliers — while keeping several threads in hand

  • Honesty about what you can do well and where you need help — it's how we keep things moving without chasing

  • Curiosity about automation and AI in logistics — we expect you to use the tools from day one and build simple automation where it removes repeated work

  • Fluent English, both written and verbal

Even better if you also bring:

  • Customs, export declaration or experience in forwarding ITAR-controlled goods

  • Warehouse or inventory management experience

  • Supplier negotiation or procurement experience

  • Experience in process development, or having automated part of your own work

  • A master's degree in industrial engineering and management or a related field

What you get

The opportunity:

  • A front-row seat to how an airship operation actually moves — and the mandate to make it run better

  • Real influence from day one: you'll write the standards we don't have yet, and they'll be used

  • A role that grows with Kelluu — towards owning our logistics as a whole, customs and export control, procurement for production, and in time the team around it

The practicalities:

  • Salary: 3 500–4 000 € per month, depending on your experience

  • Benefits: healthcare, lunch, culture/sports/wellbeing benefit (Epassi), phone

  • The tools you need to do your best work

  • Flexible, distributed work — your home base being our factory in Joensuu

The kind of place this is

Kelluu is a dual-use deep-tech company at the intersection of autonomy, AI, and aerial intelligence. We build technology that serves both national security and society, and we take that responsibility seriously.

We're scaling fast, which means you'll have real influence on how things are built. The flipside: things move quickly, priorities shift, and everyone wears a few hats. If you want a finished playbook and a clear lane, this probably isn't the right fit. If you want to write the playbook yourself, it might be exactly right.

We use AI tools extensively, not as a gimmick, but because it lets a growing team move faster than anyone expects. We expect everyone to be curious about how to work smarter.

Details

  • Location: Joensuu — about 50 % of working time at the factory; deployment travel 2–4 weeks a year, more in the beginning as you familiarise yourself with our operations

  • Start date: As soon as possible, January 2027 at the latest

  • Reports to: Head of Operations Aleksi Sahlberg

Due to the nature of our business in the defence and dual-use sectors, the selected candidate must successfully pass a security clearance.
