ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Logistics Operations & Shipment Tracking

• Support the Logistics Specialist with the daily coordination and follow-up of international shipments.
• Monitor shipments from collection through final delivery and maintain accurate milestones, ETDs, ETAs, delivery dates, costs, and status updates within the ERP system.
• Proactively follow up with freight forwarders, suppliers, warehouses, port agents, yacht teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify delays or potential issues and escalate them promptly to the Logistics Specialist.
• Assist with air, ocean, road and courier shipments, including related shipping and customs documentation.
• Support the coordination and tracking of fleet Landing Goods, warehouse activities, inventory, Newbuild and Dry Dock shipments as required.
• Understand the importance of time-critical deliveries and their potential impact on yacht operations and ultimately the guest experience.

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain accurate shipment records, trackers, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with logistics reporting, KPIs, freight costs, transit times, and delivery performance.
• Support Excel-based data analysis and reconciliation of logistics costs.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of ERP data quality and accuracy.

Communication & Service Excellence

• Represent the Logistics team and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in a polished, professional, and courteous manner.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders across different cultures and levels of seniority.
• Maintain discretion when handling operational and commercial information.
• Remain calm, responsive, and solution-oriented when dealing with urgent operational requirements.
• Recognize that behind-the-scenes logistics excellence contributes directly to the exceptional experience delivered onboard our yachts.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, Transportation, Maritime Studies, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Previous logistics experience is not required; relevant internships, academic projects, hospitality experience, or international exposure are an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French, Italian and/or Spanish, is considered a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and confidence in learning ERP systems.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional personal presentation appropriate to an ultra-luxury environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining organized and composed.
• Proactive, reliable, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN

This traineeship offers the opportunity to become an active member of the Global Logistics team rather than simply observing its activities.

You will gain practical experience managing real international shipments, working with freight forwarders and logistics partners worldwide, using an ERP system, analyzing logistics data, and understanding the challenges of supporting a global ultra-luxury yacht fleet.
