We produce high-performance long-form video, short-form social, and podcast content that reaches people deciding whether to bet on themselves. Our content is not vanity media. It is designed to drive measurable reach, deepen trust, and create downstream business impact across the entire WeScale ecosystem. We operate like a studio, not a startup content team. That means structured workflows, batch production, clear performance metrics, and an aggressive commitment to innovation, especially through AI-native production systems. The Role The Long-Form Video Editor owns the editing of WeScale Media's long-form content: YouTube videos and podcast episodes for both founders, Meg and Chris. This role owns: The retention-first edit of every long-form YouTube video for both founders The full edit of podcast episodes, plus clip-ready segments pulled from them The story and pacing that decide whether a viewer stays or leaves The final polish across sound, color, on-screen text, graphics, and music You are not just cutting clips. You are responsible for whether someone watches to the end. Every cut you make is a retention decision. Your job is to keep attention from the first frame to the last, across long-form video for two founders, at a consistent publishing cadence. This role requires both speed and judgment. Fast turnaround is the baseline. Retention is the standard. You work inside templates and a shared asset library so output stays consistent and predictable. This role reports directly to the Head of Content. What You'll Own YouTube Editing Edit long-form YouTube videos for both founders with a retention-first mindset Build strong hooks that earn the first 30 seconds and set up the payoff Structure each video so the narrative pulls viewers from one moment to the next Control pacing so energy never drops and viewers never have a reason to click away Podcast Editing Edit full podcast episodes for both founders, start to finish Pull clip-ready segments from every episode for short-form distribution Keep audio clean, levels consistent, and conversations tight without losing personality Story & Pacing Tighten every edit and cut dead air, filler, and anything that stalls momentum Build narrative momentum so each section earns the next Make ruthless cuts in service of retention, not attachment to footage Polish Apply sound design and clean audio mixing across every asset Color correct and grade for a consistent, premium look Add on-screen text and basic graphics that aid comprehension and retention Layer music that supports pacing and tone without overpowering the moment Systems & Turnaround Work inside established templates and the shared asset library, not one-off setups Hit a consistent publishing cadence across both channels Deliver clean first cuts with minimal revision cycles Build and reuse templates that speed turnaround over time What We're Looking For 3+ years editing long-form or YouTube content Expert in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Proven retention editing with a portfolio you can show, numbers preferred Strong story instincts. You know what to cut and why without a brief for everything Understands YouTube as a platform: CTR, AVD, retention graphs, and what they tell you Fast and reliable turnaround without quality degradation Systems-oriented mindset.
