The Project Manager independently leads large-scale, high-impact, cross-functional infrastructure, transportation, technology, and process-improvement initiatives from planning through implementation and stabilization. The Project Manager is accountable for project scope, milestones, budgets, quality, and business outcomes; drives alignment across functions; and oversees contractors and vendors. The role requires collaborative leadership, applied project management knowledge, sound judgment, accountability, and excellent written and verbal communication. The Project Manager also drives employee readiness, technology adoption, and sustained operational improvement across LSPT.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale, high-impact, cross-functional infrastructure, transportation, technology, and process-improvement projects from definition through stabilization, establishing scope, deliverables, success measures, and ownership.
  • Manage project plans, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, changes, decisions, and documentation; exercise broad autonomy in determining project approaches, priorities, and solutions, identify variances and drive corrective action.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across operations, engineering, supply chain, finance, technology, safety, and other functions to resolve competing priorities, dependencies, and complex project issues. Oversee contractors and vendors for scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, issue resolution, and work acceptance.
  • Lead project meetings and milestone reviews; communicate complex information clearly and persuasively, including status, risks, changes, actions, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Use deep project and operational expertise, data, and business systems to resolve novel, complex or high-impact issues, develop solutions where established approaches may not be sufficient, improve workflows, and deliver sustainable results.
  • Coordinate training, readiness, adoption, and post-implementation support for new processes, tools, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while managing competing priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of PMP-aligned project management, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, change, procurement, communications, and stakeholder management, with the ability to provide guidance on complex or escalated project matters.
  • Ability to translate engineering, infrastructure, or supply-chain objectives into practical plans, resources, and measurable outcomes.
  • Disciplined planning and execution across multiple projects, priorities, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • Ability to oversee contractor and vendor performance against scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills that build alignment and accountability across technical, operational, supply-chain, and business teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and influence decision across functions and levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with sound judgment in resolving complex or ambiguous issues and managing risk and escalation.
  • Proficiency with project and enterprise systems such as JIRA, Samsara, Descartes, TMT, SAP S/4HANA, or Maximo, and data-visualization tools such as Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Commitment to documentation, change control, continuous improvement, and consistent execution.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience in project execution, supply chain, logistics, transportation, engineering, operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading large-scale or high-impact projects, coordinating schedules, milestones, stakeholders, contractors or vendors, documentation, and influencing cross-functional outcomes through professional expertise and judgment.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • PMP certification or active PMP candidacy is preferred.
  • Five or more years of project-management experience leading infrastructure, transportation, technology, engineering, supply-chain, or operations-related projects.
  • Formal education, coursework, or practical experience in engineering project management, supply-chain projects, project controls, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
