Job Purpose

RWS Linguistic Validation (LV) is looking for an experienced Licensing Specialist to join us on a 6-month, full-time, fixed-term contract. You will manage licensing activities for one of our key pharmaceutical clients: researching and reviewing licensed Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) instruments, building instrument profiles, securing licenses and permissions from copyright holders, and giving the client accurate, timely licensing quotations.

This role suits someone with existing COA licensing experience who can contribute from the first weeks and work with minimal supervision.

  • Conduct searches for instrument records, licensing information, and pertinent reference details using a range of methods, including web, email, document files, and direct contact with copyright holders, developers and distributors.
  • Maintain organized records of instrument information, updating the instrument database when needed and communicating updates to the team.
  • Review clinical trial protocol information and client request forms to extract the details that matter for instrument description and usage.
  • Communicate with clients about specifications and other information to provide accurate and timely quotes, making sure client needs are met and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Generate licensing quotation modules for inclusion in LV department quotations, and follow through with clients on changes to projects and priorities while keeping a clear record of scope changes.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and show appropriate initiative when making decisions and solving problems.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication in English, including with clients and external copyright holders.
