M365 Support Engineer

Description

There are 2 long term contract positions for M365 Support Engineers, with an emphasis on Exchange Online, Teams and Sharepoint. This team needs to be able to troubleshoot M365 at the Server level (Microsofts cloud infrastructure) vs the client level (user's computer or mobile device) The Service desk troubleshoots these apps on the client level, and this team is responsible for the platform and major issues.

This person must come from a large multi-tenant environment)

Contract through 2027 (potential to hire, but more likely just a long-term contract.

5-10 years of experience in M365 (from of a larger multi-tenant organization).

-They will be fielding escalated support tickets from the service desk as it relates to: (In order of the amount of issues that they typically see)

-Exchange/SharePoint

-Teams

-Power Apps

-Power Platform

-These resources should have some PowerShell experience in order to do some tasks

**On Call** is going to be a part of this role. They have to be willing to respond to major incidents. They will be capped at 40 hours per week, so if they do have to take a call or work on an issue on nights/weekends, they will take time off during the week to keep at 40 hours) They will be on call every other week. The manager said about 98% of their time will be during core business hours.

The main weekend or night calls are generally exchange online related.

They will interview and have them start ASAP.

Migration & transformation experience

o In tenant, SharePoint, or platform migrations and modernization efforts

Full-stack operational role

o Comfortable spanning engineering, administration, and support/escalation (including on-call)

Product & collaboration mindset

o Exposure to Agile/product workflows and working across business + IT stakeholders

Adaptability across the M365 ecosystem

o Breadth over perfection; ability to grow into adjacent areas (e.g., Viva, emerging platform capabilities)

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
