M&A Business Change & Adoption Lead
Permanent
Up to £75,000 + benefits
Hybrid – home-based with travel across a UK-wide office network. (Travel 2 days per week on average).
Most change roles hand you someone else’s playbook. This one lets you write it.
About our client
Our client is an ambitious, private equity-backed professional services firm. It is growing rapidly through acquisition, has a national network of offices and a strong pipeline of future deals.
The firm sees itself as one business, not a collection of offices, and its culture is open, empowering and genuinely people-first. Leadership is accessible, and colleague retention has stayed ahead of the market despite the pace of growth. You’ll be the person who keeps it that way.
The role:
This is a new, permanent role and the first of its kind in the business. You’ll be the voice of the colleague across every integration, making sure people joining and moving through the business feel informed, respected and supported, and that new systems, processes and ways of working are embraced rather than imposed.
With 15 - 20 integration and transformation projects live at any one time, you will:
- Own the change and adoption approach for each integration, assessing impact across people, process and systems and sequencing change activity with the wider integration plan.
- Design and deliver clear, honest, well-timed communications and engagement with Marketing & Communications and business leaders.
- Build, equip and lead a network of local change champions across sites, giving every office trusted advocates on the ground.
- Coordinate training and business readiness so colleagues are confident before go-live and supported afterwards.
- Set up colleague sentiment and adoption measurement (baseline and pulse surveys) and turn the insight into targeted action.
- Coach senior leaders and managers to act as effective change sponsors.
- Continually improve the change toolkit so each integration lands more smoothly than the last.
Key skills and experience:
- You’ve led change management and adoption on complex, fast-paced change (M&A or post-acquisition integration experience is a real advantage).
- You know Prosci/ADKAR (or similar) inside out, and you know when to keep it simple. You’re about practical delivery, not multiple-column spreadsheets.
- You bring energy, credibility and warmth, with the presence to influence senior leaders and the C-suite in the morning and roll your sleeves up in the afternoon.
- You’re a self-starter with a consultative mindset who’s happy to take a largely greenfield brief and run with it.
- You’re highly organised and comfortable juggling multiple concurrent changes.
- Experience in professional or financial services, or a PE-backed business would be a bonus but isn’t essential. Industry and consultancy backgrounds are both welcome.
Why this role?
- It’s a blank canvas with backing. You’ll shape a capability the business is genuinely passionate about.
- You’ll have high visibility with senior leadership in an ambitious, PE-backed firm.
- It’s scale and variety you won’t find elsewhere, inside a culture that has stayed people-first through rapid growth.
The package
- Salary up to £75,000
- Hybrid working: home-based, with purposeful travel across a UK-wide office network
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy extra days
- Pension, death in service and a health cash plan
- Professional membership support
