ML Engineer (B2B Contract)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for building, optimising, and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems and advanced pipelines to power our digital healthcare platform.

Key Responsibilities

• AI/ML Systems Development: Design, build, and deploy end-to-end Machine Learning pipelines and production systems.
• LLMs & GenAI: Work hands-on with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, multi-agent workflows, prompt engineering, and model fine-tuning (SFT/DPO).
• Computer Vision & NLP: Implement multimodal algorithms, deep learning models, and automated document/data extraction solutions.
• MLOps & Evaluation: Implement robust evaluation frameworks, observability, and tracing (e.g., LangSmith, Prometheus/Grafana) to monitor model performance and prevent drift.

Requirements

• Strong background in Computer Vision, NLP, and Generative AI.
• Production experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LangGraph, and cloud ML infrastructure.
• Proven track record in optimising LLM inference, vector retrieval, and data processing throughput.
• Based in Europe, with a preference for candidates residing in Portugal.
