THE COMPANY

Treeline Well Services is a Calgary-headquartered well-servicing company, and we're establishing our workover and well servicing rig operation in Queensland. We're looking for an experienced maintenance leader to set it up properly from day one. This is a rare build-phase opportunity. You'll shape the systems, standards and team that keep a growing rig fleet safe, compliant and turning to the right. THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Manager – Australia, you'll lead maintenance strategy and execution across our rig fleet, ancillary equipment, heavy vehicles and support equipment. It's a hands-on leadership role, split between our Toowoomba site and field operations in the Surat Basin, with real influence over how the Australian operation is built.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Set up and run the preventive maintenance program and the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Track and improve how often rigs and equipment are available and reliable • Lead and develop the field maintenance team
• Make sure rigs are ready for every move and rig-up
• Manage inspection and certification of lifting, hoisting and pressure-control equipment, including blowout preventers (BOPs)
• Ensure compliance with WHS laws, Queensland petroleum and gas safety requirements, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) rules and client standards
• Manage the maintenance budget, spare parts and suppliers
• Support a strong safety culture, including incident investigations
• Report on maintenance performance, costs and priorities to the Operations Manager – Australia.
• Work a hybrid model, splitting your time between the Toowoomba office and rig sites in the Surat Basin

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mechanical or Electrical tradesperson
• 10+ years in workover or well servicing rig maintenance, including 3+ years leading a maintenance team
• Hands-on CMMS experience
• Strong knowledge of rig equipment: drawworks, mud pumps, BOPs, engines and hydraulics
• Good working knowledge of PLC systems
• Current driver's licence and Heavy Rigid (HR) licence Bonus points for:

DESIRABLE

• Queensland oil and gas or CSG experience.
• An engineering or management qualification.
• Experience in a start-up or growth environment.
