Apply Description Are you passionate about connecting generous donors in Eastern Montana with a mission that changes children's lives? Shodair is seeking a Part-Time Major Gifts Manager to build meaningful relationships with philanthropists, cultivate major gifts, and help expand the impact of Montana's only children's psychiatric hospital. In this role, you'll work closely with the Chief Development Officer, Foundation team, executive leadership, and board members to grow our major gifts program, strengthen donor engagement, and help secure transformational investments that support the children and families we serve. What You'll Do Build and manage relationships with major donors, prospects, and corporate partners. Travel through Eastern Montana at least 25% of the time . Cultivate and solicit major gifts of $50,000 and above in support of Shodair's mission. Identify new major gift opportunities through prospect research and wealth screening tools. Partner with Foundation leadership to develop fundraising strategies and achieve ambitious annual fundraising goals. Support donor stewardship through meaningful recognition and ongoing engagement. Maintain accurate donor records and portfolio activity using Raiser's Edge and other fundraising tools. Track fundraising progress, analyze metrics, and provide regular reports. Collaborate with leadership, finance, marketing, and board members to align fundraising priorities with organizational needs. Assist with Foundation events and special fundraising initiatives as needed. Help strengthen systems, processes, and best practices that support long-term fundraising success. Why Join Shodair? Requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree required. 1–2 years of experience in fundraising, development, nonprofit leadership, sales, relationship management, or a related field. Fundraising certification is preferred. Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a part-time/remote environment. Experience with donor databases such as Raiser's Edge is a plus. Passion for helping donors achieve their philanthropic goals while advancing an important mission.
