Malay Data Annotation Specialist – Remote | Freelance

ABOUT THE ROLE

HHR Talent is building a team of freelance Malay-language data

annotators for a long-term AI project — and we are selective about who

joins it, because the people on this project stay with it.

The work: you review and label Malay (Bahasa Melayu) language data

according to detailed project guidelines, helping improve the quality

of AI models used by millions of people. There is no coding, no sales

targets and no customer service queues. The value you bring is your

precision — careful, consistent judgment is precisely what the project

needs.

We designed this engagement for continuity. Work continues over time,

the project scope is long-term, and we are looking for people who want

a professional, ongoing freelance collaboration rather than a task

that disappears after a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and label Malay-language data according to project guidelines
• Check and correct transcriptions and labels for accuracy
• Flag unclear or invalid items following the project workflow
• Maintain consistent quality across your completed tasks

• Compensation: $12 USD per hour
• Schedule: fully flexible — you work when it suits your availability

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Fluent Malay and strong attention to detail
• The ability to follow detailed guidelines consistently
• A reliable computer and internet connection
• Comfort working independently with online tools
• Consistent availability over the coming months
• No prior experience, degree or certificate required — annotation,

QA, translation or content review experience is a plus

• Working proficiency in English is a plus — not required
