Job Description - Manager (822946) Job Description Manager - ( 822946 ) Description WHO WE ARE: The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking to fill a Manager V position in the Revenue and Trust Management Department which is located at 101 E. 15th Street, Austin, TX. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Manager V performs highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of an agency’s business function, division, or department. Work involves establishing goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; coordinating and evaluating business function, division, or department activities; developing and evaluating budget requests; and monitoring budget expenditures. Supervises the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: - Manages the day-to-day activities of the Revenue and Trust Management department. - Establishes goals and objectives for revenue and trust operations, develops schedules and standards for achieving goals, and manages and evaluates related activities. - Oversees the detailed reporting and analysis of revenue related data and operations. - Prepares management and productivity reports and reviews documents and reports prepared by staff to evaluate for compliance and accuracy. - Manages the productivity and continuous improvement of the department's operations, analyzes the application of internal controls, and develops action plans to improve or initiate financial controls and processes. - Provides guidance to staff in the development and integration of new methods and procedures. - Coordinates the analysis of processing systems and functions, and develops and implements changes, as necessary. - Oversees the preparation of daily, monthly, and annual revenue related statements and reports. - Supervises the work of others. - Performs other duties as assigned. YOU QUALIFY WITH: -Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus six years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency, two years of which must have been in an administrative management or supervisory capacity. -One year of full-time experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.
