This role will provide statutory accounting expertise at the interface between management and segment reporting and legal entity financial statements, working collaboratively with controllership and other stakeholders. It combines technical accounting, governance and audit-support expertise with the ability to navigate complex multinational data and drive technology-enabled process improvement. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and review of statutory and legal entity financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS and FRS 102, coordinating inputs from relevant stakeholders to deliver high-quality, timely and audit-ready reporting Prepare disclosures, technical accounting papers, reconciliations and audit evidence, and resolve financial statement review points to support statutory reporting and external audit requirements Provide technical accounting expertise, develop well-supported accounting conclusions and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, legislation and internal governance requirements Act as the key statutory accounting SME linking management and business reporting to statutory financial reporting. Partner with relevant controllership stakeholders who own the management reporting view to ensure that the underlying financial information is complete, accurately reflected in the legal entity accounts and supported by clear, robust reconciliations across reporting dimensions Understand the underlying business and operating model and how it is reflected in transfer pricing agreements, ensuring that associated charges, revenue, costs and intercompany balances are accurately accounted for in the legal entity financial statements and supported by appropriate documentation and reconciliations Support the accounting for capitalised software development and other project costs, including the assessment and validation of capitalisable labour hours, asset recognition, amortisation and impairment, in accordance with applicable accounting guidance Prepare, review and explain consolidation entries and the movement from legal entity financial results to consolidated reporting, including intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, reporting hierarchies and changes in organisational structure Interrogate large and complex data sets to identify accounting, reporting, reconciliation and control issues, determine root causes and implement sustainable, well-controlled solutions Drive continuous improvement in statutory reporting and audit-support processes through standardisation, automation, enhanced data governance and the responsible use of AI and other digital technologies to improve quality, efficiency and control Ensure the accurate and timely adoption of new accounting standards and assess their implications for statutory, legal entity and group reporting Maintain a robust internal control framework and effective procedures over financial reporting, reconciliations, data integrity, reporting hierarchies and supporting documentation Support external and internal audits, compliance reviews and regulatory reporting across a portfolio of entities by preparing high-quality deliverables, coordinating responses and resolving assigned issues on a timely basis You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification, including CAI, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent accounting designation Proven extensive post-qualification experience within large, complex multinational organizations Demonstrated advanced knowledge and practical application of US GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102 accounting standards Proven experience in statutory financial statement preparation, technical accounting, financial control, and external audit support Demonstrated experience connecting management and segment reporting to statutory legal entity accounts within complex multinational organizations Proven ability to partner effectively with controllership teams, reconcile multidimensional financial information, and explain how financial results are reflected within statutory financial statements Proven analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience translating complex financial data into accounting records, reconciliations, technical accounting conclusions, and audit-ready documentation Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting or consolidation tools Demonstrated ability to utilize systems, automation, and AI-enabled technologies to interrogate data, strengthen controls, and improve statutory reporting processes Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters to technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience working with PeopleSoft Financials or other large-scale multinational ERP platforms Proven experience utilizing Excel add-ins and reporting tools such as Smart View Proven experience working with data visualization, consolidation, business intelligence, workflow automation, or AI-enabled finance tools Proven experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or developing team members Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, with experience identifying, designing, and implementing enhancements to complex finance processes through automation, AI, standardization, and robust data governance Core Competencies: Demonstrated in-depth technical accounting expertise within complex multinational organizations Demonstrated ability to reconcile and explain management, segment, and business reporting views within legal entity financial statements and statutory reporting frameworks Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of transfer pricing accounting, including the relationship between business operations, contractual arrangements, and legal entity financial reporting Demonstrated solid understanding of consolidation accounting, including intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, reporting hierarchies, and legal entity-to-consolidated reporting processes Proven ability to identify complex accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and control issues and develop practical, sustainable, and well-controlled solutions Demonstrated advanced analytical and data interrogation skills, with the ability to evaluate complex financial information and develop clear accounting conclusions and audit-ready support Demonstrated solid stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across accounting, controllership, tax, treasury, legal, operations, and audit functions Proven ability to manage competing statutory reporting, audit, compliance, and regulatory deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement through standardization, automation, enhanced data governance, and the responsible use of AI and digital technologies Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
