Job Description

THE ROLE:

The Manager, Ad Sales Revenue Management Finance & Strategy will support pricing, planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational strategy across linear and digital advertising revenue. This role partners closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Finance, Sales Operations, Digital, IT, BI, and Stewardship to strengthen forecast visibility, improve reporting accuracy, automate manual workflows, and enhance business processes. The Manager will translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions, provide actionable insights for management decision-making, and help ensure revenue data is captured, validated, and reported accurately. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, process-driven problem solver who can manage complex data, partner cross-functionally, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced ad sales environment.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Build, maintain, and improve forecasting, pacing, pledge tracking, deal attribute, upfront/scatter ratecards, category performance, and management-facing revenue reports to support business analysis and decision-making.
  • Lead process improvement and automation efforts by migrating manual Excel-based workflows into scalable AI reporting tools, standardized templates, validation checks, audit workflows, and documented processes.
  • Support pricing, planning, finance reconciliation, timing analysis, budget tracking, and other revenue-related reporting processes to improve data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Support stewardship, liability, and operational reporting by troubleshooting variances, building validation checks, improving controls, and partnering with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with BI and technical teams to test new tools, provide business feedback, translate reporting needs into clear requirements, and support integrated linear and digital reporting initiatives.
  • Create documentation, user guides, and training materials; train Sales, Sales Service Representatives, Inventory Sales Planners, and other stakeholders on system usage, data entry standards, and reporting best practices.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Marketing, Media Management, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • Experience in ad sales revenue management, pricing and planning, finance, sales operations, media, or a related analytical function.
  • Strong understanding of advertising revenue workflows, forecasting, pacing, stewardship, upfront/scatter activity, and linear and digital sales processes.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills; experience with BI tools, forecasting systems, or internal revenue platforms preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify variances, and translate findings into clear business insights.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or data-driven concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, process consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to partner with IT, BI, Finance, Sales, Digital, Sales Operations, and Stewardship teams to implement reporting and workflow improvements.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to build structure around complex or manual processes.
