At IAG, we’re ready for you. We're the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand. Our family of brands turns the IAG purpose of making your world a safer place into action by helping everyday Aussies and New Zealanders, supporting their ambitions and making insurance accessible.
Be at the centre of how strategic change is delivered across Enterprise Services.
We're looking for an experienced Delivery Governance Practice Manager to drive portfolio governance, delivery performance and resource planning across a diverse portfolio of initiatives. You'll lead the PMO function, ensuring project and business analysis capability is allocated effectively, delivery remains transparent, and investments are aligned to strategic priorities.
Working closely with senior leaders and delivery teams, you'll provide the oversight, insights and governance needed to support informed decision-making, optimise resources and deliver successful outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader who thrives on bringing structure to complexity, influencing stakeholders and enabling high-performing teams to deliver at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and evolve the PMO operating model, delivery standards and governance frameworks to enable consistent, high-quality portfolio delivery across Enterprise Services.
- Drive workforce planning, resource allocation and capacity management for Project Management and Business Analysis teams, ensuring capability is aligned to strategic priorities and delivery demand.
- Enable data-driven portfolio planning and prioritisation through robust reporting, performance insights, KPIs and resource forecasting.
- Establish and maintain portfolio governance, including integrated reporting, funding oversight, financial tracking, delivery health, risks, dependencies and investment transparency.
- Embed effective delivery rhythms, controls and ways of working that strengthen project execution, forecasting accuracy and enterprise-wide delivery discipline.
- Develop, coach and uplift PM and BA capability, creating a high-performing delivery community with clear development pathways and best-practice standards.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making, prioritisation, trade-off discussions and the successful delivery of investment outcomes.
- Champion a culture of governance excellence, risk awareness, continuous improvement and operational excellence across the PMO and broader Enterprise Services portfolio.
This is a permanent role and offer a flexible hybrid work model based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).
What You’ll Bring
- 15+ years' experience leading delivery, portfolio or PMO functions within large, complex organisations, working across diverse stakeholder groups and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Proven leadership of complex portfolios, programs or PMOs, with strong expertise in governance, delivery oversight and driving successful business outcomes.
- Extensive experience in executive portfolio reporting, providing clear visibility of delivery performance, risks, dependencies, capacity and investment outcomes.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including investment funding, portfolio planning, resource management and strategic trade-off decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and clearly articulate operational, delivery and business risks.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, including Project Management, Business Analysis and governance professionals, with relevant portfolio, agile, delivery or governance qualifications highly regarded.
