Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace! Eataly is not a chain; each Eataly is different, with its own character and own theme – but all with the same aim... for our guests to:
- EAT authentic Italian food at our restaurants, cafés and to-go counters
- SHOP a selection of high-quality Italian, local and homemade products
- LEARN through our classes and our team’s product knowledge
The Manager, Digital & Third-Party Delivery - Grocery Retail leads the strategic catalog management, fulfillment workflows, and marketplace operations for Eataly’s high-volume retail, packaged goods, and grocery delivery channels. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Delivery, you will own the end-to-end customer experience and profitability across e-commerce retail partners (Instacart, DoorDash Grocery, Uber Eats Grocery) and direct retail channels.
You will partner closely with retail store managers, category managers, and marketplace partners to maintain high item availability, cut out-of-stock rates, and streamline in-store picking routines.
What You’ll Do
- Grocery Platform Partnerships: Own relationships and day-to-day campaign execution with grocery marketplace partners (Instacart, DoorDash Grocery, Uber Eats Grocery).
- Catalog & Inventory Health: Oversee thousands of CPG and fresh produce SKUs, ensuring accurate real-time store stock availability, correct product mapping, UPC integrity, and price parity across platforms.
- Store Picking & Fulfillment: Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for in-store picking, packing, temperature-controlled staging, substitutions, and driver handoffs.
- Commercial Growth & Merchandising: Work with Category Managers to feature seasonal Italian specialties, holiday items, and grocery bundles on marketplace channels to drive Average Order Value (AOV).
- Grocery Performance Analytics: Analyze order accuracy, item substitution rates, out-of-stock (OOS) rates, fulfillment speed, and customer refund claims to improve store execution.
- Field Execution & Training: Conduct store visits and train retail associates and shoppers on picking efficiency, substitution protocols, and order staging procedures.
- What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 2+ years in e-commerce grocery, CPG merchandising, retail operations, or marketplace management within grocery, specialty retail, or CPG delivery.
• Platform Knowledge: Strong expertise with Instacart, DoorDash/Uber Grocery portals, and retail Inventory/Order Management Systems (OMS).
• Catalog Management: Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale CPG product catalogs, UPC data, and real-time inventory feeds.
• Process Mindset: Strong understanding of store layout logistics, grocery picking workflows, and cold-chain staging.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related experience.
- Key Requirements
• Ability to work in a hybrid office environment with regular visits to retail store floors.
• Travel up to 15% to Eataly store locations.
Salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000
