We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manager - Finance to join our organization in Chatswood, Australia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial operations, drive strategic financial planning, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to organizational excellence. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support business growth and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, statements, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders
  • Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
  • Implement and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead and mentor finance team members, providing guidance on technical accounting matters and professional development
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit processes
  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital management to optimize liquidity
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards
  • Collaborate with department heads to support financial planning and resource allocation decisions
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance management or accounting roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with budget development, management, and variance analysis
  • Knowledge of financial controls, risk management, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate finance teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools
  • Experience with tax compliance and planning (preferred)
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools (preferred)
  • Project management experience in finance-related initiatives (preferred)

This position is covered by the INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS NSW TEACHERS (HYBRID MODEL) MULTI-ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021.
