Ford is seeking a strategic, analytical, and influential leader to serve as Portfolio Strategy Manager for Ford Pro and Truck across the North America markets. In this role, you will shape the future product portfolio by translating complex market dynamics, customer insights, and business constraints into actionable portfolio strategies that drive profitable growth and strengthen Ford's competitive position globally.

This is a high-visibility role that requires the ability to synthesize complexity into clarity, build compelling business cases, and influence senior leadership decision-making.

  • Lead portfolio strategy for Ford Pro Vehicles and Retail Truck across the North America markets, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and Ford's global enterprise strategy.

  • Drive segment "chessboard" analysis to identify emerging market opportunities, competitive threats, and white-space segments, informing where and how Ford should compete.

  • Lead comprehensive portfolio studies, factoring in complex variables and constraints—including regulatory environments, powertrain mix, capital allocation, and market-specific demand—while partnering closely with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Finance.

  • Develop robust business cases that quantify the financial, operational, and strategic implications of portfolio recommendations.

  • Present recommendations to senior leadership with compelling storytelling, clear communication, and a data-driven narrative that enables confident decision-making.

  • Manage strategy resources and budget across multiple concurrent studies, ensuring workstreams progress on schedule and deliver the insights required to support critical portfolio decisions.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, or a related field

  • Significant experience in strategy, portfolio planning, product strategy, management consulting, or a related discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong financial acumen and experience building business cases and investment recommendations

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with proven ability to influence senior executives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable insights

Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Automotive industry experience, particularly in product or portfolio planning

  • Experience leading and developing teams, and managing budgets and resources

Key Competencies:

  • Strategic and systems thinking

  • Cross-functional leadership and influence

  • Executive-level communication and presentation

  • Comfort with ambiguity and complexity

  • Global and cultural awareness

  • Results orientation and bias for action

  • Ability to lead and develop teams
