Why this role matters: We are seeking a relationship-driven and commercially focused Manager, Group Sales for the DACH region to grow contracted group room revenue from German-speaking Europe across Preferred Hotels & Resorts collections. This role blends proactive business development, strategic account management, and consultative selling to drive contracted room revenue across our global portfolio of independent hotels. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them discover the right hotel solutions while creating meaningful opportunities for our member hotels. Success in this role comes from creating meaningful connections and opportunities for both clients and hotel partners. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships throughout the DACH meetings and incentives community, consistently uncover new business opportunities, and drive contracted room revenue across Preferred Hotels & Resorts' global portfolio. Over time, they will become a recognized resource for clients, helping them discover the breadth and value of our collection while delivering strong commercial results. What you’ll deliver: Identify, qualify, and distribute group leads from accounts in the DACH region, with an initial ramp-up production goal of $2 million in contracted room revenue for the first full year.  Create, maintain, and regularly update comprehensive account plans for key and focus accounts.  Build strong client relationships through consistent communication, thoughtful discovery, and a clear understanding of client needs and decision drivers.  Translate client intelligence into helpful insights for hotel partners so they can craft stronger, more tailored proposals and improve conversion.  Dedicate a minimum of 30% of the work week to direct business development, with a focus on identifying and cultivating new opportunities.  Organize in-market client events, schedule strategic sales calls, and provide consultative support to hotels to drive revenue within the assigned territory.  Work closely with the Account Manager team, Regional Directors, Leisure and Corporate Sales associates, Marketing, hotel members, and clients to maximize revenue opportunities.  Maintain timely CRM records, demonstrate proficiency in CRM and Power BI, and stay current on all PH&R Collections hotels.  What you’ll bring to the team: A strong foundation in hospitality, sales, or business development, supported by a university degree or equivalent professional experience. Proven hotel sales experience, ideally with exposure to group sales, corporate meetings, incentives, or third-party planners. Candidates with experience selling into a portfolio, collection, or multi-property hotel organization is highly desirable. A business development mindset with a proven ability to uncover new opportunities and grow relationships.  Strong understanding of international travel, geography, and cultures, with the confidence to work across markets.  Excellent communication skills, including the ability to consult, build trust, and tell a compelling story around hotel value.  Strong organizational skills, disciplined follow-up, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.  Comfort using CRM, Power BI, Outlook, Cvent, and related systems to track activity, report performance, and support stronger decision-making.  What Would Make You Stand Out: Established relationships within the DACH corporate, incentive, or third-party planner community.  Demonstrated success selling complex hospitality solutions across multiple hotels, destinations, or brands.
