Finance in Motion is a leading impact asset manager that structures, manages and advises on nearly €4 billion in assets across 10 funds, all classified under Article 9 of the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). Founded in Germany, we have more than two decades of experience investing in emerging markets. Drawing on local expertise from Latin America to Eastern Europe, we invest in private and public debt and private equity to advance green and social impact in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Our mission is clear: to invest where it matters most.
Now, we’re looking for someone who shares our passion and purpose.
Finance in Motion is seeking a Manager, Fund Management to lead the Fund Management sub-team serving the Green for Growth Fund (GGF). This role combines team leadership with demanding, hands-on financial analysis and structuring. It will suit someone who enjoys solving complex problems, developing colleagues and turning analysis into action.
Job Summary
As Manager, Fund Management, you will lead the GGF Fund Management sub-team and coordinate closely with the Fund’s Portfolio Manager. You will oversee analysis of the fund’s investment pipeline, deployment, liquidity, cash needs, funding costs, maturities, redemptions, investor returns, risk limits and capital structure. You will build and challenge scenarios, contribute to portfolio and funding decisions, and turn the results into practical recommendations, performance forecasts, governance materials and clear communication for internal teams, fund bodies and investors.
You will also define Fund Management’s analytical needs and work with data architecture and technology experts to develop reliable, scalable analysis using artificial intelligence (AI) where appropriate. Your focus will be business direction, data quality, controls, financial interpretation and appropriate human review—not technical architecture or AI engineering.
Alongside this work, you will formulate, model, test and help implement concepts for the next generation of blended-finance funds. This includes linking capital structures, funding instruments and risk-sharing approaches to fund economics, investor needs and practical execution.
