$146,768. Package includes salary ($116,981 - $129,492 p.a.), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is the independent prosecuting authority responsible for the prosecution of all serious indictable offences committed against the laws of New South Wales. We are an agency of over 1100 staff, working throughout NSW to service the main court centres. Our 10 offices have a mix of Crown Prosecutors, Solicitor Advocates, Solicitors and support staff.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Solicitor, you’ll lead a team of six Legal Support Officers and play a key role in ensuring the Dubbo office operates efficiently and effectively. You'll oversee the delivery of high-quality legal support services, while managing the office’s facilities, technology, security, vehicles, equipment and workplace resources.

Key accountabilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of Legal Support Officers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative workplace culture while managing delegated financial responsibilities and ensuring resources are used effectively.
  • Oversee the delivery of quality legal support services and coordinate court rostering to ensure operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Partner with the Managing Solicitor and key stakeholders to streamline workflows, improve administrative practices and support service delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of case management data, while providing training and guidance on systems and processes.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Dubbo office, including technology, security, property, fleet and workplace resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of new systems, process enhancements and effective procurement and compliance practices.

About you

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing administrative or business support teams.
  • Strong experience managing operations in a busy, high-volume environment.
  • Experience overseeing office facilities, technology, security and asset management.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and communicate information clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders.

The interview process will include capability-based assessments which may require your time and presence on more than one day.
