About the role


The Manager, Logistics will be responsible for managing logistics across all capital expenditure projects, including new construction builds and site expansions. They will ensures seamless coordination, tracking, and communication among both internal and external partners. The Manager, Logistics will
guarantee the on-time delivery of construction materials and equipment while continuously optimizing logistics processes.


What You’ll Own


Operational Interface & Coordination

  • Bridge Procurement and Projects: Act as the primary point of contact between the procurement team and project managers to align material delivery dates with construction schedules.
  • Site Schedule Integration: Participate in weekly coordination meetings to anticipate site requirements, adjust delivery windows, and prevent work stoppages.
  • Operational Conversion: Translate purchase orders issued by procurement into detailed site receiving and distribution schedules.


Critical Equipment Transport & Logistics

  • Long-Lead Item Management: Oversee the transportation and delivery of major data center-specific equipment (generators, chillers/cooling units, UPS systems, transformers, main low-voltage switchboards/TGBT).
  • Oversized & Specialized Transport: Coordinate heavy logistics (oversized/specialized loads, high-capacity crane operations) and secure the necessary permits and authorizations from local authorities.

Receiving, Warehousing & On-Site Material Flow

  • Warehouse Management: Establish and oversee warehousing logistics operations to comply with operational constraints and industry best practices.
  • Receiving & Quality Control: Organize systematic inspections of incoming goods, verify conformity against delivery slips, and immediately document any material damage.
  • Just-In-Time (JIT) Delivery: Plan the internal distribution of materials to construction teams to coincide with exact installation schedules, minimizing the risk of damage or theft.

Tracking, Control & Risk Management

  • Material Traceability: Implement and maintain a logistics tracking system (ERP / WMS) to provide real-time shipment status visibility to project managers.
  • Delay Mitigation: Proactively identify supply chain disruption risks and propose mitigation solutions (alternative routings, local emergency suppliers).
  • Disputes & Claims Management: Manage cases of damaged or non-compliant equipment in collaboration with procurement, carriers, and insurers to secure prompt replacements.

Safety, Compliance & Budget

  • HSSE Standards Compliance: Ensure all offloading, handling, and storage operations strictly adhere to the site's health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
  • Logistics Cost Control: Monitor expenses related to transport, delay/demurrage fees, equipment handling rentals, and external warehousing.


What you bring


Experience

  • 5 to 8 years of field logistics management experience, ideally within data center construction, critical infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing the delivery of major long-lead equipment (generators, chillers, transformers, UPS systems).


Education/Certification/Designation

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.


Skills & Technical Knowledge

  • Proven ability to exercise autonomy, analytical thinking, and complex problem-solving.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset; clear and proactive communicator.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize field data into executive reports.
  • Recognized negotiation skills when dealing with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills paired with acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and consistently meet strict deadlines.


Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek schedule from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress.
