Job Description
The Market Segment Manager – Food is responsible for the management of the North American regional Food market segment. This role sets the strategy for Food within North America and executes detailed plans to drive profitable growth across the regional market segment.
Your role:
- Understand regional market structure, market trends and customers' needs to identify new market opportunities and associated offerings for the food market segment.
- Establish and maintain a successful market segment strategic plan to drive business growth.
- Prepare and monitor marketing briefings for relevant growth opportunities in the market segment incl. major commercial and market relevant elements (Business case, value proposition, target customers, target application, etc.).
- Identify regional market needs and develop market briefings for business opportunities in close cooperation with BUs, Application and Sales.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional team to ensure rapid and effective stage gate development of market segment initiatives & customer project development requests to help build a strong pipeline of opportunities to support Gross Sales growth
- Work with the Application Developer and Business Unit teams to support their development of B2C&B2B product portfolios, and work with local Sales to successfully move to commercialization phase and execution.
- Balance short and medium term market segment initiatives with existing applications, and improving and actively driving customer opportunities and pipeline conversion.
- Creation of selling tools for sales, including customer facing presentations.
- Potential: analyze, push, use market segment know-how and update customer- and market potential
- Prospect: make sure top customers of segments regionally are tracked in the systems; push conversion of top prospects to customers with sales
- Territory management: support sales in developing optimal resource allocation
- Develop relationships with key customers pushing lead development
Qualifications
Your Profile:
- Graduate in Business Administration
- 5+ years of professional experience in marketing and/or category management
- Food category management or marketing experience
- Experience within Point of Sale Data including Circana, IRI & Neilsen
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong research and presentation skills
