Role Summary The Model Portfolio landscape is one of the fastest-growing areas of the Asset Management industry. T. Rowe Price is seeking an experienced sales leader to manage a team of client-facing Model Portfolio specialists responsible for driving growth, developing strategic client relationships, and expanding the adoption of the firm's Model Portfolio capabilities. Based in the Colorado Springs office, this individual will lead, coach, and develop a specialized sales team focused on Model Portfolio-centric advisors, platforms, and strategic relationships. The Manager will be responsible for establishing and executing the team's sales strategy, driving business development, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales objectives. The ideal candidate will bring significant Asset Management sales experience, a strong understanding of the Model Portfolio ecosystem, demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization. This individual will serve as a senior resource to the team and a strategic partner to leadership, Portfolio Construction, Investments, Product Strategy, Marketing, and other distribution functions. Responsibilities Lead and develop the Model Portfolio sales team by establishing clear objectives, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, developing talent, and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. Drive achievement of sales and business objectives by establishing performance expectations, monitoring pipeline and activity, analyzing results, and taking proactive steps to address opportunities and challenges. Serve as a senior expert on Model Portfolios, including T. Rowe Price's Model Portfolio offering, the broader competitive landscape, advisor trends, industry developments, and evolving client needs. Coach team members on complex sales opportunities, including prospect identification, relationship development, consultative selling, presentations, negotiations, and closing strategies. Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key advisors, platforms, strategic prospects, and other industry partners. Partner with Portfolio Construction, Product Strategy, Marketing, and other distribution teams to deliver the full breadth of T. Rowe Price's capabilities to clients and prospects. Identify and develop strategic new business opportunities, evaluating prospects, prioritizing opportunities, and ensuring the team develops and ex ecutes thoughtful plans to convert opportunities into new relationships and assets. Lead the development of strategic client and prospect engagement strategies, ensuring the team delivers a differentiated and consistent client experience. Partner with Marketing and other sales organizations to develop and refine Model Portfolio messaging, sales materials, campaigns, and other resources that support the firm's growth objectives. Analyze sales, pipeline, territory, client, and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Use these insights to guide team priorities and resource allocation. Represent the Model Portfolio business internally and externally, serving as a knowledgeable and influential advocate for the team's clients, capabilities, and growth opportunities. Collaborate across T. Rowe Price to coordinate opportunities and ensure clients receive a seamless experience across products, services, and distribution channels. Champion continuous improvement by identifying best practices, sharing market intelligence, and developing innovative approaches to sales, relationship management, and team effectiveness. Leadership Expectations The successful candidate will be expected to: Build a high-performing Model Portfolio sales organization with a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and client focus. Develop the next generation of Model Portfolio sales talent through structured coaching, mentoring, and career development. Create clarity around priorities and ensure the team is focused on the highest-value clients, prospects, and opportunities. Establish a culture of sharing market intelligence, best practices, and successful sales strategies across the team. Serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Lead by example through direct involvement in strategic client relationships and complex sales opportunities. Balance near-term sales execution with long-term strategic growth of the Model Portfolio business. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 10+ years of total relevant work experience, with significant experience in Asset Management, Wealth Management, or a related financial services environment. Must be based in or willing to work from the Colorado Springs office. Must hold FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63&65) Willingness and ability to travel regularly with the team and support on-site activities as needed i.e. industry events, team engagements, and other field-based initiatives to provide operational and program support. Travel expectations will be determined based on business needs and may vary over time. Preferred: 3+ years prior people-management or demonstrated sales leadership experience, including the ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold a high-performing sales team accountable. Has Series 24 or will get within 6 months of hire Direct experience selling or supporting Model Portfolios, managed accounts, wealth management solutions, or related investment solutions. Demonstrated success leading a sales organization through significant business growth and change. Strong understanding of the Model Portfolio ecosystem, including advisors, broker-dealers, RIAs, wealth platforms, custodians, and other distribution channels. Advanced sales, service, and relationship management skills. Advanced territory, pipeline, and business planning skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans. Strong coaching, mentoring, and talent-development capabilities. Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, and public-speaking skills. Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders. Ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative, matrixed organization. Self-directed leader and team player with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in key client and business opportunities. FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role. Work Flexibility This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home. Base Salary Ranges Please review the job posting for the location of this specific opportunity. $168,000.00 - $304,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers $168,000.00 - $304,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C. $168,000.00 - $304,000.00 for the location of: New York, California Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus , which is determined upon company and individual performance.
